A Storm Ruined My Mom’s Tree

When my mom called me a few weeks ago, I knew that I had to get out to her house after our conversation ended. She was having trouble with some things there with the main issue being a tree that was struck by lightning. She sent me a picture of it, and I knew that I needed to get a tree service in Hendersonville to take a look at it. My mom is really nervous around new people, which is why I knew I had to be there in person. I arranged my work so I could do it remotely, not knowing how long I would need to be there as the tree was just one issue.

When I got there, I saw that the pictures really did not relay the true extent of the damage the tree had taken with the lightning strike. Thankfully, the tree was leaning away from my mom’s house, but I knew it was dangerous to have it like that. I contacted a tree company to see if they could come out and take a look at it. I was not sure if we could save part of the tree or not, but I knew they would be able to tell me.

When they came out, they immediately said the entire tree would have to come down. They said they could take off the top part where the strike was, but that the tree had some damage going all the way down the trunk. It would look okay with just a partial removal, but it would still not be safe. I was happy when they said they could come back in a few days and take it down. That gave me time to fix the other minor things that my mom needed fixed, which meant we could just enjoy a good bit of time together. The tree company came out and had the tree completely cut down within hours, and they even removed the stump for her. I wish all of life’s problems were as easy to fix as this one was!
